Scrinium - FAQ

1. Which file formats are supported?

Scrinium supports:

.PDF .DOCX .DOC .TXT and .RTF

2. Which languages are supported?

Scrinium currently supports texts in German and English, with German texts providing significantly better results.

3. Can the program also analyze PDFs created with a scanner?

No. Although I have looked at OCR (optical character recognition), but have not received satisfactory results.

4. Can I edit the PDFs as in some PDF viewer applications?

No. Not yet. This is one of the features that I would definitely like to implement in the following versions.

5. Why does the program not recognize text in my PDF?

Because PDF's are so versatile, so is the list of mistakes you can make while creating them. Unfortunately, I can not state the exact reason.
